Late night earthquake was observed north of Sedona this evening - TopicsExpress

Late night earthquake was observed north of Sedona this evening with a magnitude 4.7 via the USGS. If you had heard earlier reports of two earthquakes this evening, the one in Sedona and another near Parker, early observations/reports made it seem like they were two distinct quakes. The original triangulation could have plotted the quake near Parker, but additional data/investigation from around the area likely re-plotted the quake near Sedona. We cant say that with certainty, but that is a possible scenario.
