Late yesterday afternoon after we spent every dollar donated and packaged up the gifts donated or purchased with only a few held in reserve, I was told of two families in great need with a total of seven children. This afternoon my mom Shirley Ward and I were discussing going shopping tonight for those seven kids when out of the blue my friend Vickie Lynn Outlaw-Coone, owner of OutlawFurniture AndMattress in Atoka texted me to see if I needed anything more for those in need. She had already donated three or four bags of toys on Sunday. I told her about the two families and she immediately sent over one of her employees with cash for me and my mom to go shopping. Between our few toys held in reserve, Vickies and my money pooled together, seven kids, ages three to sixteen will share nearly forty gifts when delivered tomorrow. I get unjustly credited for our huge efforts during the holidays and all of the great work so many friends, family and my team of ninja warriors in our various companies accomplish. Im grateful for everyone but I know of no one better or who does more than my friend Vickie Outlaw Coone. Go by her store on Highway 51 in Atoka and tell her thank you.
