Lateline last night: Immigration Minister Tony Burke. All of the money for this will come directly from the Foreign Affairs Budget. There is no additional cost because it all comes out of Bob Carr’s Budget. Bob Carr on ABC Radio National with Marius Benson 7.45 am today: No that money will not and cannot come out of our Foreign Aid budget. It is not allowed to be counted as part of our Foreign Affairs/Foreign Aid spending under International understanding. Benson: But last night Immigration Burke said it would. Carr: No, no, categorically this money cannot and will not come from our Foreign Aid Budget.
