Lately, I cant thank God enough for my parents and parents in laws. Most of my friends have either lost their parents already, or are having to help take care of them. I am 52 years old and my parents are still helping me out. My Dad has stepped up to the plate and is back helping me at the shop until hubby gets over this next surgery. He should be enjoying his retirement, but he has been down there ready to work. My Mom worked with him while I took Gary to the doctor last Wednesday. They both worked together over 8 hours, just on the interior of a crossover vehicle. Their favorite thing to do is go to Church. They were both so tired that they didnt even go to Church Wednesday night. (The vehicle was so bad that I didnt even think it could be cleaned.) Mom and Dad refuse to take money for their work. I sent money home with Dad yesterday to give to Mom and she called me to tell me that she had put it back into our account. That is the kind of people they are. They never think about themselves. It is always about others first. I could not have asked for better parents. My father in law is in his 80s. He and my Mother in law are always helping take care of their boys, still. In the last 2 months, they have been through 2 surgeries with Steve and after this Monday, 2 surgeries with Gary. They have been to numerous doctor appointments, helped my hubby repair our shower faucet and been there anytime we have needed them. I am saying all of this to say that God has been so good to Gary and I. He has blessed us with very Godly examples of how a parent should care for their children. Mom ( Marilyn Lemons Flud ) and Dad ( John Flud ), I love you both so very much and I truly do NOT know what I would do without you both. You have been through so much with me and are still the pillars in my life. There just arent words to say how much I truly love you. The Bible says in Proverbs 31:28 that her children rise up and call her blessed, speaking of the Virtuous wife. I call you blessed, Mom, but I know that we are blessed to have you and Dad. Enough of the mushy stuff. I have to get busy. Just so thankful this morning.
