Lately I have been ALL caught up in the Me’s….I want a new bike, I’d like this other job, we need a bigger house, my car sucks, Christmas is expensive……ALL non-sense! Bottom line….My sons are healthy and happy, my wife Lori Ann and my health is good, without those things THERE IS NOTHING ELSE!! Truth….we eat every day, there is heat in our house, I have more than 1 car that runs, we have 10 pounds of material shit in our 5 pound house, I have a job, for the most part my brother Scott, my parents and my in-laws are in good health Luxury….I have the privilege of an long commute to work, during which I try to reach out to the people I need in my life even when I don’t want to, Lori Ann and I have bikes and they run well, I have people in my life like David and Jodie Haefele who gave me the privilege of being a godfather when I thought all I could be was a mother, an ex-wife like Jennifer who made me a father the first time ready or not and now we maintain a friendship after everything that has been said and done, a wife like Lori Ann who made me a father for the second time and after the storm that was this year in our relationship we are working together like hell to carve out a good life, the guys and girls like Brian B, Keith, Zach , Chad, Maggie, Christien who help keep me sane on a daily basis, my brother Scott who has endured me for 36 years and still tries, I have old friendships like Dave, Jason, and Jill that always seem to re-surface in their own good time Perspective….what prompted this rant is perspective, the kind of perspective you only get when someone or something like yesterday’s news of Melissa rocks your boat enough to awaken a change in perspective….For all these things in my rant I am grateful and so many more in my life I couldn’t begin to list So for today….Gratitude is my perspective
