Lately I have been doing a lot of searching on ways to help my daughter cope with the bad times. There are different techniques that her counselor suggests, but we have in the past had a little dog that she bonded with and that seemed to help. A friend of mine is a social worker at a local elementary school and she suggested a therapy dog. She had been looking into one to use at the school but they cost upwards of $30,000.00 and that is no joke. So we are researching training techniques, which breeds would work best for someone with depression, anxiety, and bipolar. This is something we have been considering for about a month now and recently we came to the decision to get our daughter a little "foo foo" dog. We were going to get her skates as she loves to skate but she is wanting a doggie to help her through her rough times. So instead of looking for an older dog that has a low rehoming fee, we are getting her a young pup we can train from a renowned breeder. We have noticed that she does get through those rough times a little easier if she has a furbaby to love and cuddle with. I am greatful to have found the perfect little one for her. She will be getting her at the end of the week. :)
