Lately, I have been reading a book called: Jack, A Life of C.S. Lewis by George Sayer. It is a deeply thought provoking book of Lewis from the time he was a young boy with very dysfunctional parents, a move to a boys school that rocked his faith and caused him great emotional and physical harm, a brother who tried to save him from the harshness of life, and more. . . I am still reading it - some evenings it takes me an hour to read only a few pages as I stop and cry for this boy that was - and reflect on how God kept him in spite of everything and grew him to be one of the most loved authors of all times. . .
