Lately Ive been feeling like I live in the movie P.C.U. You cant just tell a joke or have an opinion or do something, anything, without someone coming along to introduce a negative connotation. It makes my heart sad that so many people feel the need to diminish the meaning behind the ice bucket challenge. To see an alarming number of people say that the challenge is pointless, is discouraging. To see others say that its wasting water: first of all, drain your swimming pool, hypocrite, and then get your facts straight. And my personal favorite: if people donate to ALS, then they wont donate elsewhere. To date, the ice bucket challenge has raised 31 million dollars, compared to 1.9 million last year at this time. This melts my heart, and Im proud to be a part of it. And I will continue liking your videos and sharing ones like this. Why cant we, as a society, be happy for these guys. ALS is gut wrenching. Im thrilled that theyre getting the exposure they need. If you disagree, then my God, for once, just shut your frickin mouths and let everyone else be happy for this wild success. Rant over. For now. Quit pissing me off, Facebook. ;)
