Lately, certain people who Ive considered very close friends have gone all weird on me, for no apparent coherent reason. They seem to think Ive wronged them in some undisclosed way (at least thats what Ive gotten from third parties), but the people in question havent had the balls to even confront me about my supposed wrongdoing, preferring to simply throw away a long, valuable friendship, without even giving me the opportunity to make an amends for whatever wrong I supposedly did them - if indeed any such wrong was actually done at all. If it was, I sure have never been made aware of it, firsthand. I think the biggest and most valuable lesson Ive learned from all this is the truth of the old spiritual axiom: Its none of my business what others think of me or why they choose to think it. Whats more, its not even in my best interest to waste any more time and energy trying to figure it out. Theyre clearly going through their own shit, which seems to have very little, if anything, to do with me. I have to let them have their shit and walk away without being able to know the answers. So may God bless them and keep them… as far away from me as possible.
