AngloGold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Ltd is looking for a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Superintendent-Mine Rehabilitation and Land Closure. Job Title: Superintendent - Mine Rehabilitation and Land Closure Job Location: Tarkwa, Western Region Role Summary * To develop and implement methods to manage and improve environmental management that involve leading and best practices in a way that enhances regulatory and corporate compliance in order to maintain our social licenses to operate Job Description * Undertake strategic medium to long term planning as a means to pathway to value (P2V) and implementation of key environmental strategies * Develop, implement and monitor programmes directed towards compliance of regulatory permitting conditions * Develop a mine rehabilitation strategy that aims to address the scheduling and coordination of progressive rehabilitation of the mine * Implement mine closure plan that includes identification and assessment of the risks associated with closure and post closure conditions. The closure plan must integrate all aspects of the regulatory requirements as well as AGA management standards * Update the 5-year Environmental Master Schedule * Undertake management reviews for environmental management systems * Develop decommissioning plans for mine closure * Undertake closure cost and liability estimation for regulatory fulfilment of mine reclamation bond posting * Set environmental objectives and targets as well as establish environmental management program * Conduct mine wide environmental risk assessment for the management of potential risk to ensure environmental performance * Conduct internal environmental audits to track conformance to legal and other requirements * Develop Standard Operational Procedure for implementation AGA Management Standards * Undertake land use planning and progressive rehabilitation of disturbed lands * Periodic review of the mine environmental monitoring programme for its continuous suitability and appropriateness Qualifications and Requirements * Bachelors degree in Environmental Science or related fields from a recognized University with a minimum of 8 years working experience * Understand Mine Regulation and Environment at the Gold Mine Industry * Understand the required Mine Rehabilitation and Closure activities * Analytical thinking and understand main details that are required to solve problems * Ability to actively influence events rather than passively accept things, to see opportunities and act on them * Must possess a valid a Ghanaian Driving License and should be able to drive * Understand ISO 14001 EMS and possesses a certificate * Possesses Inspectorate Division of Mineral Commissions certificate of competence Mode of ApplicationInterested and eligible persons who meet the above criteria are to forward their applications with detailed Curriculum Vitae address below: The Senior Manager-Human Resources Anglogold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited P.O.
