Job Title: Treasury Accountant C Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra Job Description * Budget monitoring on a daily basis, comparison actual vs. Budget * Budget preparations (annually) in conjunction with the Treasurer and CFO * Continual reporting and liaison with Finance Department in SA and in Ghana * Daily checking of financial flows in Treasury * Daily profit and loss reporting and balancing in Treasury * EFASS reporting (daily, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual) * Liaising across FNB/RMB and FirstRand�s finance functions with regard to the production of monthly management and regulatory reports * Managing the accounts payable function in Treasury * Preparation of monthly management reports and presentations * Risk Management monitoring and reporting * Self motivated and able to work well both in a team as well as independently * Able to work as part of a highly innovative and competitive team, meeting demanding deadlines * Candidates should be extremely trustworthy and display strong work ethics and integrity in all that they do * Confident to operate in a multi-dynamic global company across various business units and jurisdictions Month end reporting: * Subsystem to ledger recons and resolution of unreconciled items * Monthly journal preparation and processing * Monthly charge out journals and invoicing to FNB Africa * Prepare monthly profit estimation * Prepare Management accounting tools * Preparation of monthly management reporting packs, inter-company confirmations and balance sheet attributions * Complete financial regulatory returns * Calculating and analysing the businesses monthly Economic Capital requirement * Complete TAX Returns * Debtors and creditors reconciliations * Analysis of and commentary on movements in the management reporting packs and regulatory returns * Expense analysis (Actual vs. Budget, current month vs. prior month, actual v. recovered) * Various month end recons (e.g. consolidation/profit and loss statement to management accounts) * Reserve schedule completion * Analysis of expenditure and ensure correct allocation of the expenses to the correct accounts Daily requirements: * Invoice processing (local and foreign) * Corporate credit card processing * Query resolutions with regard to invoices, expenses, expense claims * Preparation and analyses of daily profit and loss statement * Update the central Income statement * Calculating and analysing statutory requirements * Management of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Periodic: * Preparation of annual budgets * Liaising with internal/external auditors during the annual audits * Half year end - liaise with FirstRand Ad-hoc: * Journal processing * Ensure appropriate internal controls exist within function * Internal & external requests for information * Performing any other task as delegated by the Treasurer from time to time Qualification and Requirements * Relevant 3 year degree * Proficient in MSOffice (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills * A good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements * A high degree of professionalism and business acumen * A minimum 5 years working experience * A sound knowledge of IFRS * A sound understanding of forex and fixed income markets * A strong communicator who is deadline and solutions driven * Able to operate in a fast-changing environment (building a business) * Good understanding of all Banking products, in particular Treasury and International products, including an understanding of the Banks Act and Liquid Asset Requirements, and the workings and pricing mechanisms of all treasury related products * HFM experience will be beneficial and an added advantage Visit jobberman.gh/job/50951/treasury-accountant-c-in-greater-accra-region/ to apply jbgh.me/88v0lz Share with friends!
