Latest Journal Update 1/6/15 Tuesday By Garrett Sherley — 26 minutes ago Garrett finally slept thru the night. AWESOME!!! After the sedative he was given prior to the CT scan, and along with the new sleep aid, he was asleep by 7pm latest and slept until 5am this morning. Im hoping this is the start of a good sleep schedule. Tonight he was blinking his eyes heavily around 9am. He had not been given the sleep aid yet. So hopefully he will sleep again until 5am. (hoping!!!) Dr. Chung came in this morning and reported that the CT scan was clear. They could not see anything that would prevent Garrett from moving his legs. He has the doctors somewhat stumped. Dr. Chung asked if it would be okay if she did a possible study on this situation. She would like to ask other institutions about it and see if they have come across a similar case. I agreed. If what is happening to Garrett can help others down the way, then its the right thing to do. The doctors are going to review the tests and images again and also do some research on this mind boggling situation. Garrett is definitely giving them a run for their money. lol Garrett had all his therapies today. He did fair. He was still a little groggy, I think, from yesterdays sedative. But he was able to stay awake during them all. Each day is a little baby step. He is getting stronger with the neck muscles, making more eye contact and I feel he is truly starting to understand more about what is going on around him. Your are doing a great job Garrett!!! Keep fighting your way back. I know you are in there. I see it in your eyes. Sweet dreams babe! Love you to the moon and back!!! XOXOXOXO
