Latest Media Releases Police appeal for information following armed robbery - Glendenning Friday, 21 November 2014 11:20:01 AM Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Glendenning overnight. About 11pm (Thursday 20 November 2014), two men approached the drive-through window of a fast food restaurant on Richmond Road and threatened a staff member with a firearm. The pair fled the location on foot a short time later with an amount of cash; they were last seen running toward Armitage Drive. No one was injured during the incident. Officers attached to Mount Druitt Local Area Command were contacted and launched an investigation. A crime scene was established at the location and examined by detectives, forensic specialists and officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit. Local police and specialist officers from the Dog Unit conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area; however the men were not found. Investigations into the matter are continuing are police would now like to speak a man who may be able to assist in the investigation. The man is described as being about 170-175cm tall, red/brown-coloured facial hair, with freckles on his face and of a medium build. Anyone who knows the man’s identity or has any information that could assist detectives is urged to come forward.
