Latest OFFICIAL Updates from T&TEC as received by Lime.tt from the T&TEC Corporate Communications Manager. They wish to urge the public that the situation has not changed since the last Official Update. Please be guided accordingly: T&TEC wishes to advise that it is continuing to monitor the situation with the gas shortage and, as at 9pm tonight, there is no need to shed load. We however ask customers to continue to conserve electricity so that we would not have to resort to that measure. Customers can help by using only essential electrical appliances/equipment. Persons with standby generators are also encouraged to use that facility. Thank you. ---------- Good evening, As we approach the 7pm news I wish to repeat my earlier request. T&TEC has recognised that the demand for this time of evening remains the same, which means that customers are still consuming their normal electricity. Uninterrupted usage by customers will result in the Commission having to shed load nationwide. We urge customers to cooperate with this request as we work with our stakeholders to resolve the gas shortage situation at the TGU power plant in La Brea. ---------- Good afternoon, T&TEC requests your urgent assistance in making a plea to customers to conserve electricity. The Commission is experiencing a developing situation where the gas supply to one of its Independent Power Producers is being severely curtailed. In an effort to avoid load shedding across the country, the Commission is asking customers to limit their use of electricity to only what is necessary. The situation regarding the gas supply is just emerging and further details will be provided as soon as they are available. Your assistance is required to air this as an urgent public service announcement. ### As more information is supplied we will update our Fans, and if anyone experiences an outage please post to this thread so others may be informed.
