If you are looking for some of the most spectacular views of the Himalayas and its peaks, you cant get it better then you do here in Hartola and Rose Cottage. If you are looking to get away for a while for some solitude or reflection, or go for some lovely nature walks and walks to Villages were you meet the wonderful locals there, who are exceptionally warm and helpful. Rose cottage is beautifully and tastefully done, the furniture gives that old world charm, the warm wooden pine floors adds to it, you can see through the Labour of love of its owners in every corner of the cottage. The fireplace added to the charm of this place, and did we need it in evenings, after the recent snowfall! As we tucked infront of the fireplace, with a book, and some brandy and locally produced honey. Finally the staff at Rose cottage especially Sundar, needs a special mention, he made sure all our needs were taken care off, took us for walks to the local villages and other snow laden tracks, where our son had a blast playing in the snow and cricket with the locals. Hartola and Rose cottage are one of those undiscovered gems, where you come away feeling that you got so much more back then you originally imagined.
