Latest Storm Team 29 7-Day Forecast for Central VA & the Shen. Valley: High pressure will move off the coast late tonight into the week ahead. As a result, southwest winds will usher back in heat and humidity. The jet stream will start to take a dip across the east and this combined with a cold front will again trigger hit or miss storm chances. Right now the best chance appears to be Wednesday with the cold front crossing the region. The frontal boundary looks to stall out to our south with high pressure trying to build back in from the north and west. This should drop the humidity a little and cool temps back to more seasonable levels by the end of the week. The frontal boundary may still be close enough though to at least keep an isolated storm chance in the forecast. Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy, not as cool, lows 61-65. Monday: Mostly sunny, warmer with a little more humidity, highs 88-92. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, lows 67-71. Tuesday: Sun and clouds, hot and humid, couple PM showers and storms, highs 90-94. Wednesday: Partly sunny, warm and humid, scattered showers and storms, highs 87-91. Thursday: Sun and clouds, cooler and a little less humid, isolated PM shower/storm, highs 82-86. Friday: Sun and clouds, not too humid, isolated PM storm chance, highs 83-87. Saturday: Sun and clouds, highs 83-87. Sunday: Sun and clouds, chance of showers/storms, more humidity, highs 86-90--Meteorologist Clayton Stiver
