Latest Update The last of the contamination from the building site left on Saturday. They have now sealed the base in concrete and are refilling with compacted stone. This will be completed to the level required to start thinking putting in the foundations for our lovely new school by Monday. Kier announced the site safe for children to return this Wednesday but the school decided that Monday would be a good day to start when all children can restart on site together. This week has been amazing and many parents are asking if we can do this type of activities week to start the year every year! There have been 90 out of 120 KS2 children in school at KEVICCs, KS2 have been Forest Schooling and animating as well as being coached in tag rugby. There have been 50 out of 105 KS1 children in school at the library, they have been out and about every day using Leechwell gardens, The castle, Rare Breeds Farm, Steam train and Butterfly Park, Pavillions and on Friday are going to join the others at KEVICCs - they are having a ball! I would like to thank the community and our parents who have been incredibly supportive and very kind, all the places we have visited have been so lovely - its amazing and really heart warming. Of course Alan Salt, the new Head at KEVICCs has been a complete star but also his staff, particularly the History department who gave up their classrooms for us and made room. Also Sue Clarke, Head of Education for Devon, has put aside a budget to pay for all of our trips out and expenses. We are starting with the full school on Monday and our staff and Kier have been making the school look lovely and ready for the children. Hilary Priest.
