Now, were looking for someone to take our reputation further still The Role The Regional Director, Western region will work in collaboration with the Lloyds America President, General Counsel, Marketing & Communications executive and Regional Directors in the Central, Southeast and Northeast regions to: • Protect and enhance the Lloyds brand, licenses and trading rights in the U.S., its territories and possessions and Puerto Rico. • Maintain existing and develop new relationships across the entire Lloyds organization, with emphasis on London. • Act as an extension of the Managing Agents by supporting market development initiatives in your day to day activities, at national industry conferences (AAMGA, NAPLSO, PLUS, RIMS, Target Markets, etc.) and at appropriate local & regional events. • Provide Managing Agents with useful market intelligence on the Western region. • Facilitate awareness of Lloyds amongst segments of the market not previously doing business with the Lloyds market. Examples include but are not limited to middle market retail and wholesale brokers outside the major metropolitan areas. • Engage with business and community organizations in support of the Lloyds corporate outreach effort. • Understand and effectively communicate the Lloyds Strategy What Will You Do? Facilitate business by: *Distributing information and communications on Lloyds to the local community and media, as required *Providing advice and assistance with regard to local coverholder / broker applications to Lloyds. *Monitoring coverholder activities as required, taking action if necessary to ensure effective resolution of issues and, if necessary, that run-off arrangements are handled properly. Support the protection and promotion of the Lloyds brand within the region by: *Elevating personal profile within the Lloyds market and region, ultimately becoming identified as the primary Lloyds resource in the Western region. *Developing and maintaining relationships with all Lloyds stakeholders in the region, including retail, wholesale & reinsurance brokers, coverholders, insurers, industry organizations, media, regulators & vendors. *Responding appropriately to inquiries on coverage availability, claims status, potential fraudulent activity and other requests for assistance by the public *Representing Lloyds on local, regional or national business and industry associations or organizations as appropriate. *Acting with the highest standards of ethics, accountability, commerciality, collaboration, flexibility and excellence. * Working with the Lloyds Market Intelligence unit, produce periodic newsletters containing information on the local business environment and insurance marketplace. *Taking advantage of internal and external staff development opportunities What Youll Need *Self-motivated, sense of urgency *Able to identify opportunities for business process improvement *Able to proactively manage expectations of numerous stakeholders *Senior leadership experience in the US insurance industry *Detailed knowledge of the Lloyds market *Existing relationships with Lloyds managing agents, Lloyds brokers and U.S. retail & wholesale brokers *Knowledge of global insurance operating models *Knowledge of legal, accounting and management principles *Knowledge of US regulations *Insurance industry professional qualification (ARM, CPCU, CIC) a plus Date posted: 13/01//2015
