Latest article form The Hernando Star Magazine: School is now in session. You may be observing that your child may have forgotten some of what they learned in the last school year. Entering a new grade, possibly having a new teacher, maybe meeting new students, or even a new school, it may be difficult to adjust to everything. The student, even if they are up to date, they may be weak in some subjects. If the student has a learning problem or other concerns, the stress may be too much. Tutoring can help with these issues. With patience and individual attention, the child can blossom. As a private tutor, the child is not just put in a group to work on worksheets and charge exorbitant fees-they receive attention on an individual basis, and the caregivers are given progress notes. Assessment is given on the first visit, with the parents or caregivers expressing any concerns they may have. Tutoring should allow students to identify some of their own errors. Time for a snack or drink should be given, prior to a session, if possible. Discounts are available for multiple sessions. Call us at 684-6680, or fill out the form at psychcindy.
