Latest data from CR Gong shows that Southern coronal hole is magnetically open. The blue lines indicate where charged particles are being pulled back into the surface. Where those lines lack charged particles are thrust into the surrounding space. As it passed over us I would expect a M7 in 3-4 days. With 3x M6s over the next 48 hours, so now is the time to insure you have a plan in place in case of an emergency and be prepared. The likelihood of NZ being at risk is below 28% which means we are likely so see some 5s and not likely much else. Be safe,
