Latest from Jaren. ---------------------------------------------- Hello Everyone! I got transferred this last week out of my first area... I am in Ely, NV now! I went from the furthest west area to the furthest east area! My area even includes a part of Utah. I also went from the lowest LDS population Zone (Quincy at ~3%) to the highest (Ely at almost 25%)! Ely is a mining town for sure. The very large majority of people either work at the mine or the prison here (I cant seem to get away from the prisons, is that bad?). And the mining schedule is even more confusing then the prison schedules. It is almost impossible to guess what people will be working and when. Oh, there is also a brothel in my area, which is nice... not. Elder Little is going to take over my old area, and train a new missionary! He is a little nervous (buh-dum-tss), but he will do well, I know. I am going to miss the Mountain Valley ward, but I know that the Mission President has received revelation for the mission, and this is where I belong at this time. Elder Palmer is a really good missionary. He works hard and we get along very well. As some of you know already, he is also gluten-intolerant and he is also from Pueblo, Colorado! It was really cool to find that out, we were relating to each other right off of the bat! But this week was amazing. We were able to teach so many people and help them come closer to the gospel. I am already loving the Investigators. One especially stuck out to me. His name is Chris and he is a really humble guy, he has two (step?) daughters that are baptized and one that isnt yet, but is on her way. We taught him a few days ago about Temples and saving ordinances. The Spirit was so strong as we shared our testimonies and he cant wait to get to the temple. He is really receptive to the gospel and is so strong in the Spirit!
