He has now been charged with aggravated rape of a minor. Casey Hicks, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s office, told WAFB that over the course of the investigation police discovered more information, including the knowledge that the rapes occurred almost daily, over a period of time, beginning in March of 2013, and continuing until July of this year. The victim was 11 years old when the first rape occurred. The girl also told police that she was afraid to talk to authorities, because Hayden had threatened her.
