Job Description Responsible for set up and management of the Metro to include the Metro co-ordination of the product installation, warehouse operations, support operations and network facility to support sales in the Metro. Key Responsibilities: Understands the Metro sales strategy and game plan and supports the delivery of same. Works with the Real Estate, Sales and Network Engineering functions to determine and bring on-net appropriate buildings for the business. Develops, manages, monitors and achieves operational and financial objectives for the Metro. Hires and directs all installation, warehouse and support staff for the Metro. Works with sales to deliver and install all customer orders. Manages all installation activities to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction. Co-ordinates all product and material needs to meet customer orders and meet financial budgets. Meets customer satisfaction needs and ensures customer churn is below maximum limits. Liaises with central functions to meet customer needs. Co-ordinates all installation meetings. Ensures warehouse and material planning activities meet world class standards. Monitors collectible cash funds to meet company needs. Plan all roof top surveys and Metro network engineering activities. Obtaining cooperation of all functional disciplines required to execute plans, ensuring activities are coordinated and mutually supportive. Ensuring customers located in their market receive target level of service as defined by company customer experience objectives Leads and manages staff members, including: - Interviewing, hiring, and terminating - Establishing priorities, goals, objectives, and metrics - Monitoring and evaluating performance - Allocating workload and setting deadlines - Assessing skills, developing, training, and mentoring - Ensuring employees have skills and knowledge to perform successfully - Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES: Demonstrated knowledge of: Familiarity with ISP Operations. Basic understanding of networks and network management. Ability to provide timely, accurate and meaningful management reports. Customer facing skills, including price and contract negotiations and problem resolution. Ability to negotiate and manage vendors. Ability to manage an installation schedule in the face of changing customer demands and technical considerations. Ability to measure, manage and motivate a variety of staff (sales, administrative and technical). Ability to work efficiently and pro actively with other WiLine functional groups and WiLine management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good Microsoft Excel skills and possessing the ability to utilize Excel as both a reporting and planning tool. PC and software familiarity, including Microsoft Office. Team leadership, management and motivation REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: BA/BS degree in business or engineering operations or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience A minimum of 7 years telecommunications operations or technical work with a minimum of 3 years management experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry. Area Manager, General Manager or VP level held in previous telecommunications companies preferred.
