Latest review on tripadvisor Surprise Birthday Treat” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 days ago NEW We once again stayed at the Orrest Cottage for two nights. Superb welcome and excellent clean rooms. We stayed in the new loft suite this time, done room 2, next booking will be room 1! We received a warm welcome back from David and Laura. Excellent breakfast (David H how do you do your lovely scrambled eggs?) See you again in September or maybe sooner. Windermere has such happy memories for us, it feels like our own special paradise. Situated close to the train station and shops, and only about a few miles walk down to Lake Windermere itself. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
