Latest update from Angela. Sorry I didnt get it to you earlier. Please keep praying for everyone. Thanks! Today was quite a victorious day. With Chris passing his swallowing test, that stopped him from getting a feeding tube. Then today during physical therapy he stood up with the assistance of 3 people. He also was able to sit up at the edge of the bed and mostly hold himself up and he did therapy longer than he has been able to yet. He is also cleared from the doctors to leave the hospital... Unfortunately with that, I have been forced to face the decision of a nursing home/rehab center. I toured 4 facilities with my dear sister and we have settled with one that seems to be the best fit and closest to us. I pray God will make this time a blessing to Chris and others. Once he is able to tolerate multiple hours of rehab then we will be able to go back and look at the hospitals specialty rehab for brain injuries. While I was gone, chris stayed awake for more of the day and he seems to be becoming more aware of the whole situation. Pray for a flood of peace to come over Chris as he begins to really wake up and be aware of all that has happened to him.
