Latino is a cultural identity, not a racial one. I think that - TopicsExpress

Latino is a cultural identity, not a racial one. I think that distinction is meaningful and would save some people a lot of aggravation. Where latinos might not accept some people with a bicultural identity WHO LOOK TOO BLACK, many african americans would--especially if you look like and identify with us. Ive known a few afro-latina morenas who squandered their love and talents bowing and scraping for the acceptance of blancos and indios, when THE MORENAS were the smart, special and BEAUTIFUL ones. Thats part of the reason Im here. To extend my love and support to my people who speak spanish and have gone too long without the extended diasporic community. :)
