Responsibilitiesand essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: - CUSTOMER SERVICE: Mustbe friendly and outgoing. Have the ability to carry conversations withcustomers with total eye contact. Greet the customer, take the order and get ready for the next customerin a matter of seconds. Acknowledge each customer waiting in line with a smileand eye contact no matter how busy you are. Treat each customer as if they are their only customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs. - PERSONAL CONDUCT: Acts with integrity, honesty and reliability. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events tokeep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for other team members. Wear the company shirt provided during everyshift, be neat and clean. Maintainsregular and consistent attendance and punctuality. - LEADERSHIP FOCUS: Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environmentand customers for cues. Develop positiverelationshi ps with the team by understanding and addressing individualmotivatio n need and concerns. Assistwith new partner training by positive reinforcementand giving respectful and encouraging coachingas needed. Contribute to positive teamenvironment by recognizing alarms orchanges in partner morale andperformance and communicating them to the store manager. - EDUCATIONAL FOCUS: Educate the customer about espresso and teas. - OPERATIONAL FOCUS: Follow company’s operational policiesand procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security,to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift. Keep the cart spotless. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts. Organize opening and closing duties asassigned. Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensuresproper cash management practices are followed by shift team. - PRODUCT FOCUS: Provide qualitybeverages, whole bean, products consistently for all customers by adhering toall recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitationguideline s for all products. ESSENTIALTRAITS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Ability to direct the work of others - Ability to learn quickly - Effective oral communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work as part of a team - Knowledge of the retail environment - Ability to keep pace in a demanding service setting - Customer service experience in a retail environment
