Laugh it off or think it through, but I have to say this for I care ... It is impossible to be yourself as long as YOUR god is alive. And you cannot just kill your god, It cannot happen by accident. You have to prepare..............., It should be a murder. If you could gather enough courage to accomplish this, you would have made a significant move towards liberating yourself. CLINGING on to a Vishnu or a Shiva ... and hoping for liberation(moksha) is in itself contradictory. Deity images that you add on to your walls and keep on your table, the threads that you tie around your wrists, waists, necks and rings on your fingers is enforcing your submissiveness to an imaginary authority, making it so easy for anybody to rule you and dictate moral codes. Why dont you trust in your inherent goodness? See why god is trouble... The idea of a god has so strongly intertwined with ones every thought and action that one becomes possessed or zombie like, ensuring that people can be dealt with as a collective. You need to get rid of god to realize that you have a backbone. And I hope that the ones who define god as consciousness or life itself, realize that it is pointless to pray. It is by no means going to help you in ...........whatever, on the contrary may develop in you a false sense of security and waste a whole lot of time. The elimination of my god along with its symbols makes me look at big old temples as tourist places or pieces of art, the smaller/newer ones as waste of resources, scriptures as brilliant literary works, puranas as well thought out stories, deities and their costumes as ridiculous and funny imaginations and ..... most importantly the ability to not differentiate people, no matter what they are considered to be or what they consider themselves to be. so please dare to bring in godlessness and let yourself be....
