Launch America: Human Space Exploration Beyond Boundaries Event Date: Wednesday, November 12, 2014 4:30 PM EST - 5:30 PM EST Audience: In-service, Pre-service, Informal, and Home-school Educators, grades 5-8. URL: https://paragon-tec.adobeconnect/admin/show-event-catalog U.S. astronauts once again will travel to and from the International Space Station (ISS) from the United States on American spacecraft. By encouraging private companies to handle launches to low-Earth orbit -- a region NASAs been visiting since 1962 -- the nations space agency can focus on getting the most research and experience out of Americas investment in the ISS for deep space missions, including human flights to Mars. In this NASA STEM webinar, well utilize this new Launch America collaboration to launch students interest and excitement in forces, motion and energy by exploring rockets to integrate exciting lessons that include designing, building and launching simple rockets while recording, analyzing and graphing data. This webinar will also integrate the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) into teaching strategies that will help guide educators to blast off into an exciting learning journey.
