Launching the 2014 Wiltshire Poppy Appeal - out of a plane! We were delighted to welcome the Wiltshire Royal British Legion and their parachute team Jump4Heroes to Stonehenge this week to mark the local launch of the 2014 Poppy Appeal with the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire and the children from nearby Shrewton Primary School. Stonehenge stood at the heart of the worlds largest military training ground between 1914 and 1918, with over one million men arriving on the Salisbury Plains to prepare for battle. We are proud to support the Poppy Appeal in this important centenary year which ensures their sacrifice is remembered.
