Laura again -- I had a moment with Victors neurosurgeon this morning. I have always liked her and she is compassionate, although she is so specialized that she cannot answer for all the problems that Victor is having with the rest of his body. I voiced my frustration and deep disappointment in the current team. She and I shed a few tears together, and she gave me some ideas. . . a few hours later, the current pediatric team came in, and actually seemed to care a little more -- asking questions about Victor and told me that they did indeed schedule the HIDA scan for his gall bladder tomorrow. . . hmm. I wonder if his neruosurgeon, who is a mother of three had some words with the team on our behalf. I dont know if that is what happened, but I can tell you that their tone was different today. Then one of the Drs. came back in a couple of hours later and asked more questions, and told me he would get the neurology and GI team involved with Victors care again (both teams have been involved in the past, but he wants to add them back in the mix of Drs.). Anyhow, tomorrow morning will begin early with the HIDA scan and I sure do pray that shows us something to work with. Mondays are busy days here at Duke, so I hope that with the onset of the new work week, we will have some new teams that will actually want to see why Victor has had such a change in his health status. We just bathed him and have him tucked in for the night. Hoping he can rest well as we move into a new week. He and I enjoyed watching Martin and hearing he and Juliet sing. What a great morning. Thank you so much for your continued prayers. We will keep a close eye on these teams as they come and evaluate. Victors case is very complicated, unfortuantely. Thank you again.
