Laura received this today….Dear Ana: I am pleased to inform you that the School of Teacher Education faculty has chosen to recognize you as a College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Undergraduate Scholar. Only a very small percentage of Teacher Education students receive this distinction each year based upon their academic achievement, research involvement, leadership, and potential for success in the discipline. Per Dr. Ginny Huang and the School of Teacher Education faculty: Laura Ana Quinonez is committed to becoming the best teacher she can be and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families. Not only is she an excellent role model for students wanting to be strong teachers, but she is a wonderful advocate for all children and families as demonstrated by the leadership she showed during the flood which Colorado experienced last fall. Ana cares deeply about meeting the needs of all children - she will listen to the stories of every family and will welcome them all to her classroom. We are pleased and proud to have Ana as a teacher of young children.
