Laurel Falls named for all the mountain laurel along the trail that blooms in May. The 80 foot waterfall consists of an upper and a lower section, which are divided by a walking bridge. The 1.3 mile hike to the falls is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. There is some parking at the trailhead. On busy weekends you may have issues finding a parking space. This will be a great hike in October to enjoy the colors of the leaves.
