Law Enforcement officers are not supposed to be automatons. That is not what we hire them to be. They are supposed to use JUDGEMENT. In this case what was the crime and what was the impact of NOT intervening immediately. Maybe just leaving the man alone and waiting for the caretaker or mother to pay for the additional ticket. You want the bottom line? Read what the Coroner said: The autopsy concluded Saylor would not have died had the officers not intervened. Judgement. I want the cops that I pay for to exercise JUDGEMENT. Was the Grand Jury correct in not indicting these officers? Maybe so. But if I would fire them all. Immediately. No pension. They murdered someone who did not and should not have had to die.
