Law enforcement shaking down Covington County Jail Sunday night possibly searching for firearm According to our law enforcement sources, Covington County law enforcement officers have been called to the Covington County Jail Sunday evening to search for a firearm inside the jail. We can confirm the Incident Response Team (I.R.T) was paged-out and is currently working inside the jail to locate what could be a firearm that may have made its way into the jail and into the hands of a man who recently received three consecutive life sentences. Authorities are being extremely tight-lipped at this point, but we can confirm they are taking this situation very seriously. We will update this story as we learn more information.
