Ojodu, who is the House Chairman on Information, Culture and Tourism stated this while speaking with Community News that the project was part of his constituency projects for the legislative year. He said the opening up of the road would create access for residents and motorists in the areas and help to reduce traffic bottleneck that was common at Olomore/Ita-Oshin road junction. He assured that the project which would be completed within two months was among many others being constructed in his constituency, promising that more democratic dividends would be given to the people. In his response, the chairman of the 14-Joint Community Development Associations Security for Ifedayo community, Mr Samuel Omolola, lauded the initiator of the project, Hon. Ojodu and the state government for fulfilling their electoral promises, saying when the project is completed, the people of the communities would have easy access to other parts of the state capital. Also speaking, Chairman of Ifedayo Community Development Association said the communities had been cut off from the neighbouring towns for too long, saying the construction would ease the daily suffering of residents of the about 16 communities in Abeokuta North area of the state. Other residents of the areas who spoke including Mrs Abosede Sonde, Miss Banke Adeola and Mrs Teejay Oluwatoyin, said that various appeals had been made to past governments in the last 15 years, but there was no response until the current administration intervened to open up the areas.
