Lawrenceburg Council Will Meet Thursday Morning The Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will meet in regular session Thursday morning to consider passage of a number of ordinances and resolutions. Up for first reading is an ordinance to regulate and prohibit the parking of motor vehicles and other vehicles on Gallaher Boulevard, between Carroll Avenue and the first house on the south side of the street. The matter is being brought for consideration in an effort to allow access for emergency vehicles. Being considered on second reading is an ordinance allowing the city to enter into a collection services agreement with Pioneer Credit Recovery, Inc. Also up for second reading is an ordinance regarding a budget amendment. Two of the three resolutions that appear on the agenda are to authorize the Lawrenceburg Fire Department to apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for 2014 Assistance to Firefighters grant funds. If received, the funds would be used to purchase equipment. The last resolution is to authorize the council to enter into a contract agreement with Travis Henderson. The meeting will get underway at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the council meeting room of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square. The public is welcome to attend.
