Lawyers for the surviving Boston Marathon bombing suspect are asking a federal judge to delay his trial until September. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is scheduled to go on trial Jan. 5 on multiple charges and faces the death penalty if convicted. In court papers filed Tuesday, Tsarnaevs lawyers argue that the trial, as currently scheduled, would begin faster than 99 of the 119 federal capital trials held since 2004. They say a September 2015 trial would be more realistic given the extraordinary complexity and international dimensions of the case.
