Laying here tonight and thinking about how differently my life has become from what it was like before I had Tucker. I cant remember the last time I bought a cute outfit for myself, got my nails and toes done, had a girls night out, or even a night out with just my husband...I dont dress up as often, or fix my hair and make up unless I have to, I dont see my friends as often and although all of these things are nice, there is nothing more precious and special to me as spending time with my son. When you become a parent, what you thought were your necessities become meaningless and your time and freedom you had before becomes nothing but time spent with your little one. You will run yourself ragged trying to get everything done that needs to be done and there will never be enough time in the day to do it all. You love your friends and youll always be there for them, but you find yourself not even having the time or energy to hang out with them when you finally do get the chance. Its all apart of growing up...some days you will feel like your 80 years old because all of your energy has literally been sucked out of you. You dont get a break ....EVER. Tucker is with me 24/7 most of the time..even at work. He has spent the night away from home 2 times since he was born...and i honestly wouldnt have it any other way! He drives me crazy sometimes, but he is the BEST thing thats ever happened to me and I wouldnt trade being his mommy for anything in this world! Having a child will forever change you, it definitely has for me and I am so thankful for him every day!
