Laying on the hardwood floor at my Dads,completely exhausted after a long day and great vacation with some of my favorite people.Had my first hot shower in 4 days; body warm,lightly sunburnt,and speckled in little bug bites and cuts from cavalier missions to see the sunset drunkenly in high heels. I was fortunate enough to enjoy epic home cooked campfire meals,shopping at the best market in my life,beer flights at a favorite brewery,breakfasts in Oz,plotting a commune in a rickety old house with land,a beach made of glass,a bar from another century,complimentary tequila circa 1942, an all nighter lightning and thunderstorm off the sea cliffs dressed in our ghostly best,old cemeteries,watermelon street parties,little towns with the perfect porch to eat a sunny deli lunch on,sipping sodas and laughs, some of the most beautiful sights my eyes will ever see; and experiencing it all with some of the best friends I will ever know in this life. Needed to be away from LA for a while,but looking forward to returning; as being away cements the knowledge of knowing exactly what (and more so,who) you miss, what things are tough being away from, what little normalcies we take for granted.
