Laying some ground rules into this discussion. First these are only my opinions and some opinions from those that are boots on the ground in our area. If you disagree to the point of becoming immature please dont post. If you do disagree Im good with feedback just be respectful when doing so. Be sure to fully read the thread before making a comment. Ive seen more times than not someone make a comment but they obviously didnt read it in its entirety. If you act immature your comments will be deleted and possibly you will be deleted. Its just that simple. If you get to the immature stage feel free to Private Message us so the focus isnt lost. Ive already had a lot of feedback of people ready to hear what I think. Its coming soon so be patient please. I have NO political agenda here. Im only going on what I see for myself in our area and from what Im being told. So I dont know whos going to run for the positions that will be listed below. I just know that we probably need to prepare before hand. There are several problems in our area and my opinion is some of the ELECTED officials in our area havent fulfilled our needs. With that being said most all of this is not directed at the guys and gals working tirelessly day and night to do their best to keep us safe. Sure theres probably some that lack in work ethic but thats not any different from any other company. So whats being said here is more directed at the administrations of the elected offices. The administrative personnel have the job of making sure our communitys safety is number one and can make changes where necessary to fix what needs to be fixed. The 2016 election is not only important from a federal government standpoint but is extremely important from a local government standpoint. I think a lot of times people get tied up on the presidential election and maybe arent paying as much attention to the local elections as they should. For 2016 the elections are very important for the following positions for our area: Sheriff Pct. 3 Constable District Attorney Im tired and I know many other folks are tired of the good ole boy system. As far as our safety is concerned we need all elected officials mentality to be from the boots on the ground level. Im not too much concerned with shaking hands and kissing babies as I am with keeping our community safe. I understand theyre most likely driving a desk now but they should out a lot of effort to making us safe not political status. Im also tired of the money game. I understand that other parts of Harris Countys tax base may be higher than our tax base. With that being said most all of us still pay our share of taxes and deserve adequate law enforcement protection. Politics do play a role because thats the way the system works. The system isnt perfect but its a system. With that being said were going to have to look at some political stuff to solve our problem in our community. Some have said that politics are nasty business. I guess if thats what it takes I hope that theres a bunch of folks willing to get to work. I will be breaking this up into sections and will most likely take a while to get it all out. I think theres a lot of information to get out and Ill do my best to be quick at doing it.
