Laylat al-Qadr, the Night of Power may be upon us, alhamdulillah! One of these precious last nights of Ramadan, maybe even tonight, will be Laylat al-Qadr, the night better than a thousand months! (Quran 97:1-5) This is a wonderful time to fulfill (and multiply) your charity this Ramadan. Imagine the reward inshaAllah of spending these nights deep in worship, in charitable acts, and in dedication to Allahs (SWT) word! Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that whoever stands in prayer on Laylat al-Qadr out of faith, seeking reward, will have his previous sins forgiven. (Bukhari) MashaAllah! I ask that, as you stand in prayer, you please offer dua for our brothers and sisters in need ... those caught in the midst of conflict ... those facing discrimination and prejudice ... those who fast because they have to, because they have no food to eat ... those orphans who long to feel the love and support of family ... Please, please, offer your dua and make your donations for them now. Now is the time, these blessed last nights of this great season. I pray that we will all be among those who are rewarded in Allahs most favored ways. We ask Allah (SWT) in His greatness, to grant you mercy, forgiveness and salvation; to accept your prayers and your fasts; and to strengthen you through the power of iman (faith). AMEEN!
