LeBron James opted out of 43mil over the next two years using his Early Termination Option. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have until June 30 to declare if they will do the same (they should). I read somewhere that cap limit will be up to 64mil, up from 58mil in 2013-2014. That said, if the three dont opt out, they will comprise over 90% of the Heats payroll and will only have Udonis Haslem (4.6mil, player option), Norris Cole (2mil), Chris Andersen (1.4mil), and Justin Hamilton (800k+) under contract. They are already above cap and wont be able to sign any more players. If they opt out and re-structure to get about 12mil each for 2014-2015, they could convince Melo to do the same (heh) for another Finals run and have enough room to sign others. They could convince Haslem to exercise his player option to take half of what hell get in 2014-2015 to have more room. Take in Channing Frye to be their Center for about 2-3mil, then they could have a (playoffs) starting unit of Wade-LeBron-Melo-Bosh-Frye which is way better than Wade-Allen-LBJ-Lewis-Bosh. For the season, they could have Cole, Andersen, and Haslem play heavy minutes, maybe pick a young guy from the draft, heck, sign Swaggy P to a minimum contract (if Ray Allen doesnt want to come back), maybe convince Danny Granger to sign between 4-6mil for 2014-2015 and take revenge on Indiana for cutting him loose, and the Heat will have bought another championship team right there. Those opting out of being a Heat fan can leave like they did in Games 3 and 4 for all I care; as long as Riley is calling the shots, hell have something up his sleeves to eventually be on top again. Next seasons Fantasy Draft will be fun :)
