LeRoy update: we want to thank all of you who have sent your heartfelt wishes of love and prayers. LeRoy was so emotional on Wednesday night when I shared the post I had done letting my friends and family know of his status. I read each of your names to him who hit like and then I read the comments. As I shared with him I told him as so many of you he has never met, who each of you were and how we had intersected in life at some point. It pleased him to no end that we were wrapped truly in the arms of pure love. Thank you So...here we are at St Josephs hospital. When they opened his current incision the infection that he has was so massive and deep that they took cultures, many of them, and they closed him up. We will not have results for days and or weeks 6-8. He had a tiny wire sticking out, which might be why he felt something poking him for weeks so they did snip it. The surgeon thinks a couple of scenario s 1. He has a reaction to the synthetic materials in that they put in his heart (I do not think this is the case) 2. If you recall he had 7 days 24/7 hiccups when he had first surgery in June. Every time he hiccups the sternum moved and fluid out bacteria in. (I truly believe this is what happened) this infection is only in his chest and possibly around heart. We are now a in holding pattern as they are giving him mega doses of antibiotics. I am at hospital hoping to speak with surgeon and infectious disease doctor this morning.
