Location the Netherlands Functional area Engineering Educational level Bachelors/Masters degree Reference number HMC-1472 About the job Within a large deepwater SURF project, lead a small team of coating experts and deal with all issues around the design, qualification and application anticorrosion and wet insulation coating of subsea structures, riser components, spools and linepipe. HMC is currently expanding its subsea engineering organization to facilitate a.o. the Total Kaombo SURF project and is therefore looking for a Lead Engineering Coating. Your daily activities (with regards to coating and wet insulation issues): Leading a small team of experts; SPOC for external interfaces (Partner,Client, Subcontractors) on coating/wet insulation related subjects; Manage internal interfaces (Design Packages, Fabrication, Transport & Installation) on coating/wet insulation related subjects; Coordination of coating / wet insulation qualification and associated testing; Responsible for development of project specific deliverables (specifications, scopes of work, etc…); Champion the project wide coating map (liaise with relevant stakeholders to obtain input); Provide general coatings support & expertise to the project team; Co-ordination of the completion of all outstanding technical matters; Co-ordinate all technical deviation requests (DRs) both internally and with Client; Ensure all suppliers technical documentation is reviewed in line with Clients specifications; Coordinate all onsite technical queries (TQs) and obtain approval from inhouse technical specialists and Client; Organize/lead and/or attend technical meetings with Client and suppliers and coordinate the closure of all technical items; Schedule and co-ordinate technical reviews and PQTs on site; Supports the PM on his tasks (reporting cost, schedule, progress, HSSE matters); Capture project close-out. Requirements BSc or MSc in civil / mechanical / chemical / materials / petroleum / corrosion or offshore engineering; Minimum of 8 years working experience of which at least 5 years relevant experience in offshore coating/paint and wet insulation fields (both theoretical and practical); Experience of management of a small group of technical people.
