Lead by another stellar performance from star Eagles netminder Ryan Ferguson, the Eagles defeated the Olds Grizzlys 3-2 in overtime in Olds. A much needed win for the Eagles as they see their record get back above .500 with 8 wins and 7 losses at the 1/4 mark of the 2014-15 AJHL season. Fergie made 34 saves to earn the Eagles star of the game for the 4th consecutive game and his season record improves to 6-7. 20 year-old defenceman Nikolas Kosman netted the overtime winner with 26 secs. left in the overtime period. It was his 2nd goal of the campaign. The Eagles also received goals from defencemen Jakob Lavoie (1) and Jeremy Gordon (2). Rookie forward Matt Forchuk picked up a pair of assists. For the 12th consecutive time, the Eagles won a regular season game ending with a goal scored in overtime. The last time the Eagles had an overtime loss in the regular season was on December 11 2012 vs the Okotoks Oilers. The Eagles will wrap up their 3-game road trip on Friday, October 24 as they will visit the Okotoks Oilers (10-5-3).
