Leaders from the opposition Cord have tasked the government to use all means to give Kenyans an answer on the cause of death of Raila’s son Fidel Castro Makarios Odhiambo Odinga. Speaking during a burial service on Saturday at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga university ground, the leaders led by Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, Ababu Namwamba, Elizabeth Ongoro, Bonny Khalwale and Johnstone Muthama amongst others, said, “We have had enough of these mysterious deaths and we want the government to tell us the cause of all these deaths because it has the capacity to do so.” They said if the truth is not told then some people will equally not be safe. They however said the death of Fidel whom they eulogized as hardworking, generous, humble and jovial, had opened a new chapter in the politics of this country and said they should use it to ensure Hon. Raila and the Cord capture power in 2017, “If they think they have weakened Raila then I am sorry tell them that they have made him stronger. Raila is strong, he is made of steel and he is capable, if you doubt that you can confirm from mama Ida,” said Oburu as mourners cheered him. Oburu however said the death had a human hand in it, “Now that they have failed to tell us what killed him, I now conclude that the death had a human hand in it.” The burial service which was led by Orthodox church was attended to by dignitaries from the country and across the continent led by Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Changirai, the late John Garang’s son Magior Garang, Tanzania minister for works John Joseph Magufuli who represented presinde Jakaya Kikwete and the wife to former Ugandan president Milton Obote Mrs Obote. They said the death of Fidel was a blow not only to Kenya but Africa at large. Others who attended included Peter Kenneth, Musalia Mudavadi, SK Macharia, Keth Kilonzo, over twenty governors, senators and a host of MPs among other leaders.
