***Leadership Opportunity*** Shambhala Meditation Center of Providence, Rhode Island is currently looking for a Director. The candidate for this position will fulfill the following roles and possess the skills listed below. • The Director will guide the planning, development, and implementation of the Center’s policies, providing leadership and acting as a point of contact for its members. • As a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, the Director will be responsible for ensuring that the Shambhala Vision radiates throughout all the practices, activities, and community life of the Center, leading by example in the practice and study of Shambhala Buddhism. • The Director will be able to work collaboratively with the governing structures of Shambhala International, the Shambhala Council, and volunteer staff. • A candidate for this position should have at least one year’s experience as a practitioner of the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, and be willing to make a commitment to act as the Director for a minimum of two years. The directorship is currently a voluntary position.
