Leading office automation company in JHB North seeks a Regional Business Executive / Product manager PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Consult with the Franchises on various aspects of the running of an effective and profitable business. Requirements: Minimum requirement Matric. Excellent presentation, judgment, planning and organisation skills. Excellent communication skills – Verbal and Written. Knowledge of the office automation environment. Strong talent management principles – Team Development. Financial qualification of background is essential. Team player. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be able to balance risk with business decisions. Attention to detail and accountability. As 400 knowledge is an advantage. Must be self-driven, innovative and a strong team player and motivated person. PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE Maintain current product knowledge on the company product range, including Hardware and Software ranges. Ensure that each franchise has a showroom appropriately stocked for their market requirement. Maximize sales staff’s product knowledge through “hands on” product training. Training in their showroom / boardroom. Effectively manage stock by rotating products via the Showroom. Facilitate and assist the Franchise’s sales staff with product demonstrations. STRATEGIC PLANNING Ensure that the Franchise Sales Managers present realistic budgets and projections timeously on a monthly basis. Plan and capture (to Outlook) franchise visitation schedules and agenda’s Keep an active record of Meeting notes Monitor Sales Manager’s implementation of budgets and targets. SALES PERFORMANCE Maximize performance on monthly sales budgets, targets and goals. Facilitate the sales team’s performance by monitoring the Sales Manager’s implementation and utilization of the following systems and procedures: FAIR PORTFOLIO ALLOCATION: Determine all calling points (the company’s and opposition) to enable fair portfolio creation and allocation CALLING CYCLES: Ensure that calling points are classified for appropriate visitation schedules for strategic account penetration and user base protection. ACTIVITY: Drive and monitor adequate sales activities. These include “face to face” appointments, quotations and demonstrations. QUOTATION AND SALES LEADS: Oversee the effective management of the strategic prospect source. PROSPECT EVALUATION: Verify the quality and timing of the content of prospect lists. SALES PROJECTIONS: Utilize qualified prospects to supply the Head office with realistic and accurate stock projections, in preparation for E5 meetings monthly TRAINING: Facilitate and co-ordinate ongoing product, skills and motivational training to all franchises sales staff, to a more professional level. To actively maintain the skill and motivation levels of the sales representative, at an appropriate level SALES INCENTIVE: Ensure total commitment to all sales incentives. IN FIELD SUPPORT: Monitor the Sales Manager’s “in field” involvement with as many of the sales staff’s prospects. INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING SESSION: Encourage Sales Manager to spend quality time with each sales person so as to identify areas that require additional staff training. OPPOSITION KNOWLEDGE Facilitate the improvement of opposition product knowledge. This includes price list and commission manuals. SALES INCENTIVES Support and drive all Head Office incentive programmes. Drive sales by sales incentives to individual franchises as well as reach own incentive targets ADMINISTRATION Ensure timeous receipt, verification and capture of all appropriate sales information Attend weekly meetings with Franchise Sales Manager. Present visitation agenda’s and write resultant reports, keeping an accurate report per franchise Co-operate with staff in other divisions Practice effective time management and problem solving. Evaluate and approve application for Special pricing, market penetration plans (MPP) and direct business plans (DPD) on the AS400. Administer effective management and approve applications on TMP plans Request pricing support Assist tender team /franchises with any tenders. PROFITABILITY Maintain and grow profitability within the franchise This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis.
