Leading up to the whole eating of the forbidden fruit… I wonder if they did everything with the fruit but eat it. Pick it, smell it, play catch, rub it on their faces, stare at it for long periods of time, dodgeball, bob for apples, or even watch it rot…. Isnt that what we do while being tempted? We get as close to the sin as possible justifying that we havent actually ate the fruit. But then we end up spending so much time with the fruit that we just need something as ludicrous as a talking snake to say its ok to eat it. And who knows, Eve could have been so tempted she would have eaten the rotten fruit. Just a thought. Boundaries are critical. Create them and live by them. Dont play with your food.
